Our interim ministry opportunity provides a bridge between a former staff or volunteer led ministry to a new vision for the future.

Congregations who are going through changes in their Children’s Ministry or Youth and Family Ministry are facing some important decisions. InterServe Ministries guides congregations in a way that opens up and promotes a healthy and intentional time to focus on the goals of the ministry and future growth opportunities. Young people, parents and volunteers come together to dream, create and implement a viable, Christ-centered ministry that is built from the congregation up.

Whether a new hire is in the future or there is a re-structure of staff responsibilities, InterServe Ministries will work individually with congregations to discover possibilities, work through current changes and plan for the future.

InterServe Associates serve on-staff within a congregation for 6-12 months, depending on the unique needs of the ministry.

How an InterServe Ministries Associate serves in your congregation: 

Our specialized ministry will:

• Encourage opportunities for closure from former staff.

• Create a “transition team” with congregation members who have gifts in children and youth ministry.

• Guide the transition team through a discovery process, looking at purpose, objectives and dreams.

• Facilitate discussion and gather feedback from the congregation through focus groups.

• Provide training for adult leaders in children and/or youth ministries.

• Explore ideas for implementing or improving risk and safety management for ministry.

• Assist in developing an attractive ministry position description for a new staff person.
